I value the Gate Bar and Bistro's sponsorship at MGGC. Being a local business I get a good opportunity to network with Members. The days when we are the game sponsor are good value and the Club is very supportive by way of promotion on course.

Congratulations Melville Glades, for being the most family friendly Golf Club and social environment we have experienced.
Our family, comprising three generations, have been Members for many years now, with Mum and Dad, three grown up son's and a grandson all having been Members at various times.
Currently the Smith family boasts five members, who with their families, where appropriate, enjoy the golfing challenge of the excellent bushland golfing layout on one of the top quality couch grass courses in Perth and all of the social aspects of this open and easy going club membership lifestyle.
Many people recognise golf clubs as sometimes having somewhat of a formal and 'stuffy' atmosphere where new members feel they are walking on 'egg shells' in their first few months of membership. Nothing could be further from the truth at Melville Glades where new members will feel as welcome and as involved as the oldest members of the club.
Joining Melville Glades is a lifestyle decision, it's not just a golfing destination.

Being a member of MGGC for over 20 years and my wife for 15 years has given us a great deal of pleasure, the most valuable thing we have gained is friendship. Not only do we play regularly on a well maintained golf course with an excellent pro-shop and clubhouse but we have made many friends that has enabled us to travel overseas and all over
Regards, Ian & Karyn Mears
I have been a six day member of Melville Glades Golf Club for approximately five months.
I have played golf for many years though seriously for about the last four. Having experienced the Glenn Iris and Gosnells Golf courses for two years each , the move to Melville Glades was based primaily on its proximity.
During the time at this club the assistance of professional Richie Smith has been worthwhile. He provided excellent golfing tuition. The Pro Shop staff is helpful with this store being reasonably well stocked. The high quality of the driving range, putting greens plus chipping area was appreciated and allows one to practice Richie's radical drills.
The usage of the eighteen hole course has also been a feature of the club's membership. The general layout of the course retains a challenge with the fairways in good order and the greens being uniformally fast. Bunkers add interest to the layout with the occasional hill and plateau greens adding angst.
An unusual feature of this course is the mob of kangaroos who inhabit the area. They are docile animals who appear to co exist well considering the wayward hits and disgruntled howls which punctuate their existence.
The premises are also very comfortable. The social club is welcoming with a helpful bar staff and a good blackboard menu for golfing post mortems. The locker room is spacious and the office staff is helpful and efficient.
The ability to book golfing times on line is convenient. The availability of the course allows me to play two nine hole rounds during the week and an eighteen hole round on most Sundays. Scores can be accessed afterwards online or soon afterwards if bragging rights have been won.
Membership of the 'Glades' club has been really enjoyable on many levels as it has been for my mates. If only one's golf prowess was up to the club's setup.

The members of Melville Glades Golf Club are very friendly and all ensure that you are made very welcome whether on the course or in the 19th hole where the food, drinks and service are a huge plus, the 19th has a fine ambience about it providing a very efficient and friendly restaurant as apposed to a lot of the very cold and grey club houses you find around the state.
On joining as a new member I was invited to an 'Invitation evening' where I was able to bring a guest and enjoy meeting all the staff who were only too pleased to answer any questions I might have had, I was then wine and dined to the max, all of this being absolutely free!
Melville Glades Golf Club has been a great place to enjoy a fantastic game as the course is both challenging and manageable using the designated handicap system. The course has a great feel about it, it offers well manicured fairways and beautifully kept greens, with some great wildlife including some very friendly Kangaroos (they must have gone to Invitation evening too) ha-ha.
There is a very professional 'Pro Shop' (excuse the pun) available on site run by some really nice people, who will offer advice and above standard personal 'one to one' or 'group' golf lessons at very reasonable prices, with, I might add, great results, I have a son who plays a very tidy game to prove it.
And to top it all, the day you enquire about joining this great golf club, you are dealt with by this lovely lady who ensures that no stone is unturned to provide you with all the information possible to make the joining process a breeze, who then once you are a member continues to ooze professionalism.
All these things simply confirm in your own mind that your membership of this club was the right move.
Best Regards, Paul Ramsey (A very satisfied member) Thanks Rebecca.
