Fellow golfers, we have a lot of work going on around the golf course at the moment and many hands make light work.

Commencing on Monday, June 8th, thanks to the easing of crowd restrictions associated with the COVID 19 guidelines we will be recommencing our volunteer course work on a fortnightly basis.

This work is planned and supervised by our Course Superintendent and is varied by nature. At this time of year with the number of storms passing through there is always debris to be cleared from the course. In addition, we have project work progressing with the new practice pitching area, alterations to hole 4 and then, if possible, hole 3.

We also have the ongoing battle with our infectious weeds Kikuyu, Sedge Grass and Parramatta Grass. The control of these pests is labour intensive so extra hands are always appreciated.

If you have a few hours to spend on a Monday morning (normally from 7.30am to around 11.00 am) then jump onto the booking sheet for volunteers on the web page to find the next opportunity for you to “make a difference at your own club.”
