Dear Members,
Unfortunately, at the SGM last night (23rd October) we were unable to obtain a quorum of 65 voting members (constitution clause 5.6) to allow the meeting to proceed.
As a result of this the meeting was adjourned and will be held at 7pm in the Clubhouse on Thursday 30th October, as prescribed by clause 5.7 of the constitution.
5.7 Adjournment – If within one half hour from the time appointed for a General Meeting, a quorum is not present, the meeting shall stand adjourned to the same day in the following week at the same time and place and if at the adjourned meeting a quorum of members is not present within half an hour of the time appointed for the meeting, the members present shall form a quorum.
Voting
Members who have already cast an absentee vote for the adjourned meeting will not need to cast another vote. Absentee votes already cast remain sealed and will be counted at the reconvened meeting once a quorum is established. Those members who attended last night intending to cast a vote in person, and other members who are unable to attend next week may cast an absentee vote as per below:
In the Administration Office:
- Monday 27th October 10am to 4pm
- Tuesday 28th October 10am to 3pm
- Wednesday 29th October 10am to 4pm
- Thursday 30th October 10am to 5pm
