It is with sadness that we advise of the passing of two members of Melville Glades over the Christmas period.
Jack Katnic passed away on Christmas night at the age of 92. Jack, a Foundation Member of the Club was a regular golfer during his time at the Club and in more recent years played regularly on Monday’s with the Old Boys. The Club extends its deepest condolences to wife Nena and Jack’s family and friends.
Update: The Funeral Service for Jack Katnic will be held in Bowra & O’Dea’s Fremantle Chapel, 312 South Street, Hilton. Commencing at 10:00am on Thursday 8th January, cremation will take place privately at a later time.
Peter Evans also passed away on Christmas night at the age of 96. Peter was a member of the Club for 45 years before his playing days ended in 2023. Peter continued to visit the Club for regular coffee catchups with his old golfing buddies. The Club sends it thoughts and sympathies to Peter’s family and friends.
