I am pleased to advise that at its January meeting the Board approved the appointment of Simon Hird as Director of Finance, filling this important casual vacancy until the 2027 AGM.
Simon has been filling a casual vacancy on the Board as Vice-Captain since August 2025 and has experience working with finance teams on monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and has a solid knowledge of P&L statements and understands the intricacies of the balance sheet.
As a result of Simon’s appointment for this position, he will be standing down as Vice-Captain with immediate effect.
The Vice-Captain role is up for election at the upcoming AGM in March. As nominations for this, and other roles, will be called for shortly for the normal election process, the Board will not be conducting an expression of interest process to fill the casual vacancy before the AGM.
