Dear Members,
The Board would like to thank those members who submitted their expressions of interest for the vacant Director position as Vice-Captain.
It was pleasing to receive nominations from five good candidates. The candidates were interviewed as a part of the assessment process. Subsequently, the Board appointed Simon Hird to fill the casual vacancy as per constitution clause 3.17, through to the 2026 AGM.
Simon has been a member of the Club since 2008 and prior to retirement held Director positions in various companies. Simon previously spent time on the Club’s House & Social and Match committees, is a member of the current Match committee and is well versed in the history and rules of golf. Simon has also been contributing to the development of a new Juniors’ program for the Club.
The Board and management look forward to Simon’s contributions as a Director of the Club.

REMINDER: The Board is still seeking expressions of interest to fill the Director of Finance position through to the 2027 AGM, as it is currently being filled on an interim basis by Ian Russell. Interested members please contact the President or General Manager for more information.
