Each year the Club selects a local Charity to receive funds raised during the year. On the back of the successful efforts in support of Australian Cancer Research Foundation and Cure Brain Cancer Foundation in the last two years, we are seeking a new charity partner in 2026.
Many of the charities selected by the Club have had a special connection to one or many of our members and we would like 2026 to be no different. We are asking members to submit for the Board’s consideration a charity that they believe should be selected as the Club’s 2026 charity.
Members are requested to include a brief reason as to why they believe their nominated charity should be the Club’s choice along with any relevant contact details of a person that the Club can reach out to for further information. A requirement for consideration will be that the person/s who propose the charity will be actively involved in the planning and running of fundraising activities throughout the year.
The major event for 2026 will again be a Mixed Charity Day in September but there will be a range of activities planned throughout the year as well that the proposer/s will be expected to contribute to.
Members should submit their nominations to admin@melvilleglades.com by Friday 23rd January.
